Technical Product Manager

As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a critical role in defining and delivering a data-driven product strategy. You will leverage your expertise in analytics, experimentation, and data modeling to optimize platform engagement and performance. Collaborating closely with engineering and business, you will develop scalable solutions that enhance user experience and drive measurable impact. This role requires a deep understanding of data infrastructure, experimentation methodologies, and KPI-driven decision-making to build a world-class EdTech solution.

In order to be successful, this person will:

  • Own and drive the product roadmap with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, experimentation, and analytics.
  • Design and execute rigorous product experiments, including A/B testing, multivariate testing, and feature flagging, to optimize platform functionality and engagement.
  • Develop, monitor, and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success, user behavior, and business impact.
  • Utilize SQL, data visualization tools, and statistical models to generate insights that drive product development and user growth.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders, including educators and administrators, to ensure data-driven insights inform business and product strategies.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data collection, instrumentation, and reporting capabilities for better experimentation and analysis.
  • Advocate for a culture of experimentation, empowering teams to validate hypotheses before scaling features.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, compliance regulations, and emerging technologies in EdTech.

Competencies and Qualifications

We believe the right person for the Technical Product Manager role will have the following competencies and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, analytics, and experimentation.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and analyze A/B tests and other product experiments at scale.
  • Deep understanding of data analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Looker, Metabase).
  • Experience working with data and engineering to build scalable data pipelines and experimentation frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with user segmentation, cohort analysis, and behavioral analytics to drive engagement and retention.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams using data-backed arguments.
  • Experience in Agile product development and roadmap management.
